Sara Pishdadian is a clinical psychology and clinical neuropsychology doctoral candidate at York University in Toronto, Canada and currently completing her CPA-accredited predoctoral internship at the Ottawa Hospital. She has received training in neuropsychology in a variety of settings and is passionate about working with individuals with psychiatric and neurological illnesses, including neurodegenerative illnesses and severe and persistent mental illness. She is aiming for a career where she can work in a hospital setting as a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist and provide both assessment and intervention services. Sara’s research has focused on 1) understanding spatial memory and navigation in aging; 2) investigating subjective awareness and objective abilities in individuals with hippocampal amnesia; and 3) exploring predictors of functioning and quality of life in individuals with psychosis spectrum disorders. In her spare time, Sara enjoys practicing yoga, exploring cities by walking, and baking tasty treats. Twitter handle: @sarapishdadian
