Dr. Elyssa Scharaga (she/her) is a Co-Director and Clinical Neuropsychologist at The Center for Cognitive Health at Brain and Spine Surgeons of New York. In addition, she is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.  Dr. Scharaga’s clinical practice includes evaluation and treatment of adults diagnosed with chronic and acute medical conditions, such as neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases, brain injuries, infectious diseases, and movement disorders.  

Dr. Scharaga joined SCN’s Education Advisory Committee in 2022. She has strong interests in supervision and mentorship at the graduate and post-doctoral levels. She is also committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within her clinical and supervisory work. Since 2021, she has served on the executive board of the Queer Neuropsychological Society.
