Dr. Gary James is a clinical rehab neuropsychologist at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA. He is the Neuropsychology Supervisor for post-acute brain injury services and is also the Senior advisor for the APPCN Neuropsychology Fellowship. Dr. James is involved in training and mentoring post-doctoral fellows and neuropsychology practicum students. In addition to the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology, professional and affiliate memberships include the National Academy of Neuropsychology and the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology.

Dr. James completed a doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Baylor University and completed a 2-year post-doctoral fellowship at Michigan Consortium for Advanced Psychology Training (Michigan State University College of Medicine). Prior to beginning his training in Neuropsychology, Dr. James completed his undergraduate degree at McGill University. Primary clinical interests include assessment and intervention with individuals diagnosed with TBI and stroke and brain health and wellness for minoritized groups. Dr. James maintains a longstanding passion for training.
