Dr. Peraza is a board certified Clinical Neuropsychologist at Denver Health Medical Center and Assistant Professor with the Department of Psychiatry at University of Colorado School of Medicine. She also is the Training Director for the Denver Health Psychology Internship and coordinates the doctoral psychology practicum program. She co-supervises a neuropsychology practicum student in the Outpatient Neuropsychology Service, and has supervised neuropsychology research practicum students. 

Dr. Peraza primarily conducts outpatient neuropsychological assessment for adult and geriatric patients. She also conducts inpatient screening neuropsychological assessments primarily for questions of decisional capacity. The Denver-metro safety-net hospital and academic medical center’s typical referring questions/diagnoses include TBI, dementia, substance abuse, and/or psychological problems in an underserved medically and psychiatrically complex patient population. Dr. Peraza also conducts epilepsy pre-surgical neuropsychological evaluations. She has particular interests in multiculturalism and diversity in neuropsychology.

Dr. Peraza has served as a committee member on SCN’s Education Advisory Committee beginning in 2018. She has a strong interest in education and mentorship with particular interests in fostering professional development and promoting diversity in the field of neuropsychology. She has served on other neuropsychology leadership groups including AACN relevance 2050 Student Pipeline Subcommittee, NAN Women in Leadership committee, and as the president for the Colorado Neuropsychology Society.
