Dr. Janecek is a board-certified neuropsychologist and an Assistant Professor of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she also serves as the Assistant Director of Postdoctoral Training in Clinical Neuropsychology. Her clinical areas of expertise include epilepsy, neurodegenerative diseases, and traumatic brain injury. Clinical research interests include the prediction of post-operative cognitive outcomes after epilepsy surgery and evaluation of long-term clinical and functional outcomes in epilepsy. In her role as Assistant Director of Postdoctoral Training in Clinical Neuropsychology, she is involved in training and mentoring post-doctoral fellows, with an emphasis on preparation for board certification and fostering the development of specialty specific competencies in clinical neuropsychology. She also supervises and mentors graduate level clinical neuropsychology practicum students.

Dr. Janecek joined SCN’s Education Advisory Committee in 2020. She has strong interests in teaching, supervision, and mentorship at the graduate and post-doctoral level, and the development and implementation of competency-based assessment tools at the postdoctoral level.
