| Please Add Any Additional Information to Include in Your Listing | The School of Graduate Psychology at Pacific University is an APA-approved doctoral clinical psychology program. The neuropsychology track provides graduate level training consistent with the Houston Conference Guidelines with the goal of preparing students for eventual board certification in neuropsychology. Ninety-five percent of neuropsychology track students have obtained APA approved internships in either medical schools or VA medical centers. The neuropsychology track has three primary components: 1.) Curriculum: includes 6 courses: i.) Fundamentals of Behavioral Neuroscience, ii.) Neuropsychological Assessment, iii.) Neurological conditions, iv.) Neuropsychiatric conditions, v.) Medical conditions, vi.) Rehabilitation and consultation. Students also take Neuro Structure and Function, a second-year medical school course at Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) Medical School. Additional courses include psychopharmacology, health psychology, forensic psychology, child assessment. 2.) Clinical practicums: Each student does 4 one-year long neuropsychology practicums (450 or more hours per year). Practicum sites include OHSU Medical School, Portland VA Medical Center, and several other medical centers in the Portland area. 3.) Research: All neuropsychology track students are actively involved in research. All students make at least one poster presentation at a neuropsychology conference (e.g. INS, AACN, APA, NAN), and most students have done multiple presentations by the time they complete graduate school.
